EXID 2ND MINI ALBUM [AH YEAH]
This second mini-album, "AH YEAH," is not about 'reversing trends' but about 'anticipating trends.'
Filled with music that only EXID can pull off, this album represents a new challenge for the EXID style. It clearly distinguishes itself from other groups, showcasing tracks that highlight the producing skills of EXID's rapper, LE. LE, almost uniquely among female groups, has participated in album production, drawing on her expertise gained from working with other artists like Trouble Maker and Jewelry to create EXID's unique color. Some of LE's compositions are included in this album, raising expectations for their future activities. With a total of five new songs covering various genres and three existing tracks, this album, a collaborative effort between producer Shinsadong Tiger and EXID's LE, expresses each member's personality through music, considering their vocal range and pronunciation. It's anticipated to achieve a higher level of differentiation from other groups.
The title track, "AH YEAH," is a hip-hop dance song that skillfully showcases the members' personalities with its diverse composition. Responding with an "Ah Yeah" to a passive man, it conveys both the chicness and liveliness of EXID, allowing listeners to feel their charm. Alongside "AH YEAH," the track "AH YEAH (.Inst)" and other title track contenders like "Dangerous" stand out. "Dangerous" is a medium-tempo track with captivating themes, effectively showcasing EXID's sentimental side as seen in their previous track "Every Night." Additionally, tracks like the sophisticated Urban R&B style "Pat Pat" and the Urban Dance track "With Out U," along with the vocal-driven ballad "1M," are included among the five new songs. The album also features "Up & Down," which stormed the charts in 2014, and a newly arranged version of "Every Night (Ver.2)," bringing the total to eight tracks that showcase EXID's unique personality and diverse musical colors.

This hip-hop dance track, following the success of "Up & Down" last year, is uniquely EXID. With its funky rhythm, refreshing chorus, witty and distinctive lyrics, and catchy hook, this song expresses a chic and lively "EXID" vibe. It incorporates the phrase "Ah Yeah," commonly used to express boredom or avoid annoying situations in daily life, into its hook, creating a highly addictive tune. Hanis, the center of EXID, along with LE's powerful rap, Solji and Hyelin's vocal lines, and Jeonghwa's parts, all showcase each member's personality. With its concise yet addictive choreography, the song presents an upgraded version of EXID.

Competing closely with "Ah Yeah" as a title contender, this song is a medium-tempo track that follows the footsteps of EXID's beloved 2012 track "Every Night." Featuring an addictive hook and Solji's powerful vocals, along with LE's rap, the song exudes sophistication, captivating listeners' ears.
3. Pat Pat

This Urban R&B-style song expresses the desire to be comforted by a loved one after a tiring day. Co-produced by EXID member LE, who contributed to the album's production, it showcases a demo song written by LE in 2012. Producer Shinsadong Tiger arranged it with a feminine and warm feeling that EXID had not shown before, maintaining their musical identity while adding a bit of groove to create a more sensual and sweet song.
4. With Out U

A trendy Urban Dance track with sophisticated and trendy arrangements by Shinsadong Tiger and Eskimo, featuring a memorable melody. Unlike other tracks, it highlights the vocals of the youngest member, Jeonghwa, and impresses with its fast-paced development in the latter part. It's a song that raises expectations for LE's future producing abilities.

Released in 2014 and heating up the year, "Up & Down" is included as a hidden track in this album, expressing gratitude to fans for their love and interest.
7. Every Night Ver.2

"Every Night," EXID's representative song that received steady love since its release in 2012, was born as an adaptation of LE's self-composed song "Telephone Bell" from the EP released in 2012. Different versions were composed at the time, and the version released this time differs in composition from the publicly released version. While the original conveyed the emotions of the chorus through LE's rap in the latter part, Ver.2 maintains the emotions of the chorus and further enhances them with the vocals of Hani and Solji, creating a slightly different but equally emotional feel from the original.
